Yerevan/Mediamax/. VivaCell-MTS allocated AMD 37mln to implement 4 programs in the sphere of secondary and higher education.
Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan said today that the first program concerns establishment of electronic catalogue for all the textbooks of Armenian schools, Mediamax reports. Pupils will be given an opportunity to download from a site and use 230 titles of books.
The second program is an elaboration of a methodology for Armenian schools and universities ranking. “The public should have accurate information what school and university provides good education”, said Armen Ashotyan.
“Best Student” contest will be held as well within the cooperation program between the Ministry of Education and VivaCell-MTS which results will be summed up in late 2012.
VivaCell-MTS will also provide a service of wireless internet access to 107 high schools. Armen Ashotyan said that 98% of Armenia’s comprehensive schools will have internet access by the end of 2012.
VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said that the education sphere is one of the company’s priorities of 2012.
