Krisp raises USD 9 million

Armenian startup Krisp has raised USD 9 million.

TechCrunch reports that the total value of the investment round made USD 14m. Last year, Krisp raised USD 5m in August.

Krisp uses machine learning to remove background noise from audio in real time. According to founder David Baghdasaryan, the number of active Krisp users increased by 20 times in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Currently, Krisp has around 1,200 corporate clients include Githun, Zapier, Discord, and Intel.


The startup has a 25-strong team in Armenia now. Baghdasaryan has announced that Krisp aims to take that number to 45 in 2021.
