Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF) in cooperation with Gyumri Information Technologies Center (GITC), is launching “Deep High School Transformation through Engineering Education” free educational program in the High School of NPUA Gyumri Branch.
According to GITC Managing Director Amalya Yeghoyan, in the scope of the program students will develop engineering projects and products.
"The aim of the program is to increase the interest in engineering education among high school students by providing them with up-to-date, competitive engineering skills through practical training," she noted.
Amalya Yeghoyan informed that in the scope of the program a special classroom equipped with engineering devices will be created in the High School of NPUA Byumri Branch, where the teachers will be selected from engineering companies operating in the country.
"In the current situation, we all must have one goal - the development of Armenia. Our vision in this regard is that engineering education is one of the most important directions in the development of Armenia, for that purpose we are launching the “Deep High School Transformation through Engineering Education” program", noted Alec Baghdasaryan, AEF Board of Directors member.
«The donors of Armenian Educational Foundation attach importance to such educational initiatives due to the current situation in the country, expressing hope that educating the new generation is the best investment in the future of Armenia", added Hermineh Pakhanians, AEF Treasurer.
The program, financed by Armenian Educational Foundation, accepts applications until February 28, at 11:59 p.m. The application is available here. The courses are scheduled to start on March 8.
The admission is open for 11th grade students from the Shirak marz. The trainers of the program are experienced specialists of engineering disciplines, who will be sharing their knowledge in the following fields/areas:
- Software Engineering (python; Machine Learning)
- Mechanical Engineering (3d modelling; operation on precision machines)
- Electrical Engineering (design and implementation of electrical control systems)
- Soft Skillset development (product development; project management; team
building and etc.)
The selection of participants will take place through a written math test and an interview, during which the applicants' logic and interest in the engineering sector will be tested.
