Results have been summarized for the support VivaCell-MTS provided to Child Daycare and Rehabilitation Center in Kosh.
This year 86 children aged 3-4 from capital Yerevan, as well as Aragatsotn, Armavir and Shirak marzes attended the Daycare Center and received rehabilitation treatment.
Children with more serious mental and physical disabilities received intensive therapy five days a week. At least three specialists worked with each child, providing individual treatment.
Armenak and Ann Tadevossian’s Medical Center provided seven-hour individual and group classes to children with brain stroke, congenital spina bifida, arthrogryposis, congenital hip dysplasia, autism and children with postoperative complications.
The specialists note that the rehabilitation treatment organized thanks to cooperation with VivaCell-MTS resulted in positive changes in children’s health status. Children with hemiplegia (unilateral cerebral palsy) and diplegia achieved considerable progress in terms of moving without assistance, acquiring basic life skills and communicating. The intensive therapy provided to children with quadriplegia had considerable effect on their health condition, improving their life quality.
“The target group of Armenak and Anna Tadevossian’s Medical Center is not only children with health issues, but also their parents. By helping these children, we also provide psychological assistance to the parents who have to cope with their problems alone. As a partner of the program, we have also undertaken the mission of supporting the Center in logistic issues and providing necessary tools for its specialists. The results achieved so far are promising. We have succeeded, if we have managed to have even a small contribution to the rehabilitation of these children,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
Since 2013, owing to VivaCell-MTS financial support, the children had the opportunity to be transferred to and from the rehabilitation center and to receive two meals per day free of charge. Thanks to the four-year partnership, the Kosh Center acquired necessary furniture, professional and supplementary equipment.
