Ahead of Demo Day: Friendhub to help organize events

Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia (MIC) will conclude its Acceleration Program for innovative solution startups that included 12 local startups, by Demo Day on February 21 at Ayb School.

The teams will introduce results of the work they completed in the last months to IT specialists, potential investors and entrepreneurs on that day.

On the eve of Demo Day, MIC Armenia and Itel.am present the stories of 12 startups.

Friendhub mobile application is meant for people who spend plenty of time online and like to organize various events. The app will allow to unite people with similar interests and discuss the place, time and other details of an event.

The startup founders are Shahen Hovhannisyan, Mikael Petrosyan and Spartak Poghosyan.

“Today, when everything is discussed and decided in virtual environment, it’s also necessary to use such an online tool for event organization that will be available to everyone. We subjected the original idea and its technological aspect to numerous changes during the Startup Acceleration Program,” noted Spartak Poghosyan.

Friendhub Android version will be launched in near future, then the team will work to bring in a large number of users. They intend to launch an iOS version as well.

“We had only a raw idea at the beginning of the program, but no notion of how to implement it and turn it into a product. Owing to communication with different experts and other startups during the program, we understood step by step what to start from and what factors to take into account,” stressed Shahen Hovhannisyan.
