On the eve of Demo Day, MIC Armenia and Itel.am present the stories of 12 startups.
Medas is a smart app that helps people not to forget the time to take drugs or undergo other medical procedures.
Mkhitar Mkrtchyan, Zaven Eghoyan and Hayk Avdalyan are the developers of the app.
“It’s sometimes hard to remember and organize when to take drugs especially for those patients who have to take different tablets at different times. Sometimes they forget the exact time they are supposed to take one or another drug or the dosage which leads to not only maltreatment but also drug poisoning and worsening of the illness. This innovative app develops a smart timetable that will tell you when to eat or take tablets”, Mkhitar Mkrtchyan told Itel.am.
According to him, Medas is different from other applications in the market that do the same thing with the fact that it’s extremely easy to use.
“The database is developed so that it includes the names, dosage and information about producer country and it gives the opportunity for the patient to choose”, he said.
Medas is also suitable for hospitals, facilities for elderly care where hundreds of people take tablets at the same time. The system also notifies the care taker about the necessary information.
The app will soon be available in Google Play.
Mkhitar Mkrtchyan said that they will try to improve the app based on the feedback from users and to present it to international market.
Talking about Acceleration Program, Medas co-founder said that it’s important for them to learn skills of how to make ideas into products within the program.
