Winners of the Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games to be announced on October 26

“National Art Center” Children’s Art Gallery at Abovyan 13 will host the expo of games of the third “Open Game” Championship of developers of computer games and mobile applications tomorrow, on October 26, at 12:00-17:00, to be followed by the awards ceremony. All those who wish to participate can visit the expo and get acquainted with the games presented by the participants and play with computers or mobile devices.

26 games of the championship participate in the expo this year (vs. 19 games last year). Among participants there are start-up companies, teenagers, local population and Armenians from abroad. Please get acquainted with all projects of the final stage online.

“This year qualitative growth of the championship has doubled and even tripled. We have not only received more participation applications, but also most of the games presented are already fully ready for use and tomorrow the expo visitors may evaluate both participants’ creativity and play the games,” said the UITE Executive Director Karen Vardanyan.

“With great enthusiasm Orange participates to this annual event, which helps to reveal new talents, support creation of new teams, projects and companies, as well as boosts development of computer and mobile games in Armenia – a domain which is rapidly growing all over the world,” said Orange Armenia PR manager Lilith Martirosyan.

Prize fund of the championship amounts to 1,700,000 AMD. Awards ceremony will be held in 9 nomination categories – Best Game, Best Mobile Game, Best Game Play, Innovation, Best Design, Innovation, Best Character, Best 3D Solution and Junior Championship. 
During the expo the visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with and play the games presented by the participants, as well as vote for their favorite game. The game with most of visitors’ votes will be awarded the Prize for Popularity. 

The objective of the championship jointly organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises and Orange Armenia already for the third time, is to develop the domain of computer games in Armenia, which will enable to create a new trend of technological business, to reveal new talents and to motivate the youth.

The jury of the championship is composed of advanced computer games specialists, programmers and designers from Sourcio, Plexonic, Triada, MicroSoft-RA, Zoom Graphics, Tumo companies.
