Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia (MIC) will conclude its Acceleration Program for innovative solution startups, that included 12 local startups, by Demo Day on February 21 at Ayb School.
The teams will introduce results of the work they completed in the last months to IT specialists, potential investors and entrepreneurs on that day.
On the eve of Demo Day, MIC Armenia and Itel.am present the stories of 12 startups.
Needsweet platform allows to order holiday cakes online.
Startup founder Vahe Sargsyan told Itel.am that he tried to develop innovative solutions for different fields, starting from cloud service and to home-cooked food delivery.
“It looks like a simple delivery system at first, however, the advantage is that you can order a holiday cake of any size and design. While trying to include other products in the delivery system, we came to realize that holiday cakes were in a special demand. The system is a connecting link between the customers and the women who bake cakes,” he observed.
According to Vahe Sargsyan, the website is ready, and first orders are being made.
During the Startup Acceleration Program, Needsweet was one of the teams that were situated at Microsoft Innovation Center and worked from the office.
“We had frequent meetings with multiple mentors and founders of successful startups within the program, which gave me a better understanding of what my startup needed, what could lead to a mistake, and how to attract more customers,” noted Needsweet founder.
