''Hackathon [YAN] Childhood 2015'' contest, that will take place on December 12-13 in Vanadzor, promises interesting and pricey awards for teams offering innovative and technologically interesting ideas.
More than 30 teams applied for the contest already from Gyumri, Vanadzor, Gavar, Ijevan, although the applications can be submitted by December 4 here.
MIC Armenia stressed that special attention will be paid on the teams offering cloud-based solutions for small and medium businesses.
Particularly, the best 1-2 teams will be awarded with AMD400 000 as well as an opportunity to use the center’s resources to realize their ideas.
“The center’s support will not only be limited by financial resources. We are ready to support the teams to turn their ideas to products, to mentor them with technological resources in order for it to sell in international market”, said Microsoft Innovation Center CEO Artashes Vardanyan.
MIC Armenia will also include 2 interesting startups in its acceleration program.
Beeline also supports the organization of the contest.

I highly appreciate such digital innovation oriented programs and I’m sure that some of the ideas will become tangible in the modern IT field. We want to be in the epicenter of changes and will support talented Armenian youth in this sphere”, said Beeline Armenia CEO, Andrey Pyatakhin.
Special awards will be given by Public Journalism Club and the U.S. Embassy.
MIC will cover the transportation for teams from Yerevan and Gyumri to Vanadzor and back.
The contest will be conducted in cooperation with Microsoft Armenia, Public Journalism Club, and Vanadzor Technology Center.
