Beeline informs that the internet outages the subscribers monitored over September-October 2015 are connected with the theft of fiber- optic cable from 158th building in Yerevan.
Around 9 km of cable was stolen and the damage to the company exceeds AMD 12 mln.
“Now, when the investigation almost comes to the end, the company emphasizes the importance of sharing the reasons and the details with the subscribers of fiber-optic internet FTTB . In order to recover the damaged and stolen cables, we allocated additional resources that are calculated with millions. These investments enabled us to minimize the consequences of the actions of criminals, the new surveillance system will quickly respond to malfunctions, damage and theft cases”, Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.
Beeline Armenia Security Service Head Sergey Khoroshilov informed that 2 people were arrested in connection with the robbery. They have already confessed and are currently cooperating after the investigation.
