Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Armen Yeritsyan hosted at VivaCell-MTS

Today the Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Armen Yeritsyan accompanied by the responsibles of the Ministry visited the headquarters of Armenia’s Leading Telecommunications Operator VivaCell-MTS.

In frames of the working visit the Minister met with VivaCell-MTS employees, and presented key aspects of the Ministry’s mission, as well as the achievements and the current phase of the reforms.

Armen Yeritsyan also spoke about the cooperation between the Ministry and VivaCell-MTS and tangible results achieved in different areas of operation. Major outcomes of the cooperation were the creation of a backup server center for the government of RA, donation of a powerful Perkins P440E 400-Volt generator diesel generator set capable of producing 360kW (kilowatt) of electrical energy within an hour, provided for supporting the uninterrupted operation of the backup server and the establishment of the system of direct video connection between firefighter rescuers at the scene of the accident and MES of RA Crisis Management Center, for which VivaCell-MTS provided 100 state-of-the-art mobile phones and its strongest in Armenia mobile network.

VivaCell-MTS acknowledges the importance of long-term investments in the capacity development of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency in disaster prevention and management of emergency situations, modernization of information system and provision of the up-to-date conditions for the information safety. “As Armenia’s leading telecommunications operator, VivaCell-MTS provides continuous support to the development of strategic national infrastructure, and in particular, to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency, in the area of the prevention and protection of information security, data protection, and functioning of key state infrastructure in disaster situations, which are among the greatest challenges of the modern world”, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian commented.
