“Orange Book Prize 2013” contest results were finalized and the names of the winners revealed during the awards ceremony held on March 28.
They are:
Short story: “The Moth Remedy” by Narine Kroyan
Novel: “Dispersion” by Artyom Grigoryan
Poetry: “I Draw” by Silva Hovhannisyan
Public choice: “The Alphabet in Our Garden” by Gayane Yengoyan
Orange will finance the publication of the winning work in each category, and the authors of the winning works, save the “ Public choice” winner, will be as well awarded with monetary prize of 300 000 AMD.
“This is already the third year that Orange Book Prize contest takes place, and I am glad to see that it has become a very significant cultural event in Armenia with more and more people actively participating. It is particularly interesting to see that the Orange Book Prize is becoming popular not only amongst the inhabitants of Yerevan but in the regions as well – almost half of the nominated candidates are from the regions”, said Francis Gelibter, General Director of Orange Armenia.
As a reminder, a total of 327 applications for participation in the contest have been presented this year, out of which 121 short stories, 152 poems, 27 novels and 27 fairy tales.
