Orange presented a range of innovations at Digitec Expo 2013

Orange Armenia presented a range of innovations at Digitec Expo 2013 - exhibition of information and telecommunication technologies.

In the internet domain Orange presented the second generation MyFi, with the possibility of up to 21,6 Mbps download speed. MyFi is a 3G+/Wi-Fi modem that gives the possibility to create a Wi-Fi zone anywhere in the Orange coverage, connect up to 10 devices with Wi-Fi or cable (computer, notebook, smartphone, WiFi camera, game devices etc.) As a reminder, Orange is the only operator in Armenia offering up to 21,6 Mbps speed on its whole network and up to 42,2 Mbps in Yerevan, Gumri, Vanadzor, Etchmiadzine and Ararat.

Orange also presented the new generation Flybox at Digitec, which is a combined solution of internet and fixed telephony for home or offices. The new Flybox, which will be in sale soon, will have already up to 21,6 Mbps download speed, and the possibility to connect up to 32 devices through WiFi. Customers can also connect one fixed phone to Flybox and use it for the fixed phone line at home or at the office.

Under the “smart home” title Orange presented solutions enabling users to control the apartment, the office or the country house at a distance. The company presented how telecommunication technologies can be useful in completely new and unexpected domains. In particular, a GSM Camera was presented, giving the possibility to be informed in real time about what is going on in the house and even remotely see the house on the phone screen or on the laptop. Another device, My Plug, gives the possibility to manage the electricity supply remotely, and switch on or off devices or systems, through a simple SMS, as well as follow up the electricity consumption, receive an automatic notification when an electricity cut happens.

In the domain of voice services Orange presented the HD quality calls. Orange Armenia was the second operator in the world and still the only one in Armenia and in the region to have implemented this service. After Orange Armenia the HD quality voice was implemented in France, in the United Kingdom, in Spain and elsewhere.
