“Golden Apricot” film festival starts on July 8

Yerevan/Mediamax/. 9th “Golden Apricot” international film festival will open in Yerevan on July 8.

Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan said today that the festival got 1 120 requests from 20 countries this year.

The leadership of the festival prepared new programs this year – “Book and Cinema”, “Film Journalism without Frontiers”

“Faust” by Alexander Sokurov will open “Book and Cinema” program.

“Homage to Respect” program will be continued which will mark the 90th anniversary of Yuri Yerznkyan, 85th anniversary of Frunze Dovlatyan and 80th anniversary of Andrey Tarkovsky.

“VivaCell-MTS” General Manager Ralph Yirikian recalled that the company has been the general sponsor of the festival for already 7 years on end.
