Volume of taxes paid by mobile operators decreases by 21%

Yerevan/Mediamax/. In the first quarter of 2012, three Armenian mobile operators paid overall AMD 5,418bln in taxes, i.e. AMD 1.445bln or 21% less as compared to the same period of 2011.

K-Telecom Company (VivaCell-MTS brand) occupies the 4th place in the list of 100 largest taxpayers by the volume of taxes paid to the state budget. The total volume of taxes the company paid in the first quarter of 2012 stood at AMD 2bln 736mln 498,5 thousand.

ArmenTel (Beeline brand) is on the 8th place with AMD 2bln 47mln 931,8 thousand.

Orange Armenia occupies the 28th place with AMD 634mln.

In comparison with the first quarter of 2011, the volume of taxes paid by ArmenTel and Orange Armenia fell by 35% and 50% correspondingly, whereas the payments of VivaCell-MTS in the first quarter of 2012 grew by 12%.
