ArmenTel sponsors the national round of Red Bull Paper Wings 2012

Yerevan/Mediamax/. ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) became the sponsor of the national round of the Red Bull Paper Wings 2012 championship.

On March 27-29, students from Armenian universities demonstrated their skills of making and launching paper planes and on March 31, 45 students having the best results will compete for getting the right to represent Armenia in the final of the world championship, the company reported.

“Red Bull Paper Wings championship attracts more and more fans across the globe year by year. The participants should have basic skills in geometry, aerodynamics and physics laws to complete the tasks which are simple at first glance.  I am sure the participants of the championship will demonstrate a high level of mastership and will get positive emotions and unforgettable impressions”, said ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko.

The contests on launching paper planes within the national round of Red Bull Paper Wings 2012 will be held in three categories – “Range of the Flight”, “Duration of the Flight” and “Aerobatics” (demonstration of aerobatics figures). The qualification rounds were held over 3 days – in Yerevan State University in March, State Engineering University of Armenia – on March 28 and in State Economic University on March 29. The first 15 students with the best results in each of the three qualification rounds passed to the national final and they will compete for three places in the world championship on March 31.

Red Bull Paper Wings championship has been held in the Austrian city of Salzburg since 2006 once in three years. Students from various countries take part in the contests.
