Orange Armenia and Megaphone to make “a revolution” in roaming

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange Armenia and Megafon are going to make “a revolution” in the roaming sphere.

Orange Armenia CEO Bruno Duthoit and head of the Corporate Communications Department of Megafon Karen Asoyan announced the start of the strategic cooperation in Yerevan today. Due to the cooperation, Orange Armenia subscribers can use special roaming tariffs while being in Russia.

In particular, connecting to Megafon network, Orange Armenia subscribers will make and receive calls from Orange and Megafon subscribers at 30AMD per minute.

Bruno Duthoit said that “it’s a real revolution” as for the first time in the world, roaming costs will be the same as prices for the calls inside the country.

In his turn, Karen Asoyan stressed the importance of the fact that the service will bear “mass” character.

The sides noted that the first phase of the cooperation will last from April 1 through June 30. The further phases of cooperation will be set up later.
