Armenian crew becomes one of the winners of the off-road driving international championship

Yerevan/Mediamax/. International championship of off-road driving in winter conditions was held in the Georgian Bakuriani settlement with participation of 8 crews from Armenia on February 24-26.

Jeep-Trial class championship was held in 3 categories - Standard, Extreme and Monster, ArmenTel which was the sponsor of the Armenian teams’ participation in the championsip reported.

Armenian pilot Gary Gasparyan on Mitsubishi Pajero 3 was the winner and holder of the first place in Standard category out of 12 crews. Pilot Ludwig Ermazyan on Jeep Wrangler showed the best result from Armenia in Extreme category. He was the fourth out of 24 crews participating in this sports discipline. All the rest of the prizes were taken by crews from Georgia.

All in all, 38 crews from Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey participated in the international championship. The Armenian crews took part in the championship owing to the support of the “Adrenalin” Extreme Sports Association of Armenia and “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark).

“Last championship is the first success of our drivers at an international championship. I am pleased to realize that we supported our partner, “Adrenalin” association, to make the next serious step toward strengthening the positions of young Armenian sportsmen in the international sports arena”, noted ArmenTel Igor Klimko.
