Orange Armenia joined Safe Internet Armenia 2012 project

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange Armenia, on the occasion of that Safe Internet Day joined Safe Internet Committee for “Safe Internet Armenia 2012”, a large-scale project.

During this one-month project, around 300 teachers of high schools will be trained on the principles of internet safety, and more than 5000 schoolchildren and students of pedagogical universities will participate in open lessons on this topics.

Starting from today, Orange shops will make available to customers The Kaspersky Internet Security program, which will allow parents to maximally protect their children from irrelevant and dangerous content.

“In Armenia we provide internet services and our position of leader in mobile internet gives us the responsibility of supporting, educating and directing customers in the safe usage of the internet. In the scope of our corporate social responsibility we have joined this initiative with great pleasure, which aims at giving the keys of safe use of the internet”, - Orange Armenia CEO Bruno Detroit stated:

All those concerned for the nature and safety of the content their children consume on the internet can visit the website www.safe.am where all necessary information and advices about safe internet surfing can be found in the Armenian language. A collection of more than 10,000 educational sites and 3000 useful references has been created.
