Yerevan /Mediamax/.“ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) announced substantial expansion of 3G network in Armenia today.
According to the statement made by the company's press service, as of August 8, the 3G network was operating in the towns of Agarak, Ashotsk, Berd, Yeghegnadzor, Kajaran, Maralik, Meghri, Noyemberyan, Sisian, Stepanavan, Talin, Tashir, Chambarak as well as in a number of rural communities of Armenia. Together with the expansion of the coverage zone, dozens of new 3G network stations have been put into operation in Armenia’s big towns in addition to those currently operating.

Beeline 3G networks cover about 150 settlements in Armenia with 2.9mln residents. It should be noted that ''ArmenTel'' was the first operator to launch 3G mobile network in Armenia: in June 2008- test operation, and in September 2008 – the commercial operation took place.
