Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian parliament approved in first reading
today the amendments and changes to the laws on “Telecommunications” and
“Credit information circulation and credit bureaus’ activity”.
Mediamax reports that Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Suren
Karayan stated that the goal of the amendments is to liquidate
legislative obstacles in provision of credit information to credit
bureaus by operators, functioning in telecommunication sphere.
According to him, as a result of the amendments, the operators,
functioning in the telecommunication sphere, will have the right to
provide information on the debts of their customers to the credit
bureau.
Suren Karayan stated that this draft law is necessary in the context of
solution of legislative problems, related to preparation of a complete
report by the credit bureaus, functioning in the territory of Armenia,
as well as for forming information for people, who do not have a credit
history, in the credit organizations.
