Yerevan/Mediamax/. In average 25,500 subscribers of “VivaCell-MTS” company used USSD-menu services in the 4th quarter of 2010, “VivaCell-MTS” press service told Mediamax.
USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) is a technology allowing creating a real-time connection between network subscribers and service applications through sms-messages.
In reply to Mediamax’s question, “ArmenTel” spokeswoman Anush Begloyan said that “USSD-menu is a comparatively new service for our subscribers and it’s still early to speak about how often it is being used.” According to her, today Beeline subscribers prefer activating or deactivating services by calling the call-center or through “Personal Cabinet” on the company’s web-site.
When asked by Mediamax about how often USSD-menu is used by Orange Armenia subscribers, company’s spokeswoman Lilit Martirosyan said:
“Our subscribers are more interested in music, particularly in Armenian performers, and in games.”
