Yerevan /Mediamax/. Presidents and Vice-Presidents of such Transnational IT Corporations as "Intel", "Cisco" and "Synopsys" will take part in "ArmTech 2009" Congress.
As Mediamax informs, RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan stated at the news conference today.
He said that organizing the congress, the government of Armenia intends to join forces with Armenian Diaspora, aiming to attract investments from global IT giants to Armenia.
Nerses Yeritsyan informed that within the framework of Congress, which will take place in San Jose, considered to be the capital of Silicon Valley, from November 5 to 8, Armenian delegation will visit the Stanford University laboratory with the aim of familiarizing themselves to its contribution in establishment of Silicon Valley.
"This is especially important for us, as we also intend to establish Armenian "Silicon Valley" on the basis of Physics Institute laboratories", said the Minister.
He also stated that within the framework of the congress, meeting with venture capitalists of Silicon Valley will take place, with the aim to attract venture capital to Armenia; Armenian delegation will visit IT enterprises local incubation center and will also sign agreement with "Microsoft" on establishing Center for Corporate Innovation in Armenia.
Nerses Yeritsyan also stated that RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will take active participation in the Congress operation.
