Yerevan /Mediamax/. Net operating income of “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) in the first quarter, 2009, increased, as compared to the same period of 2008, by 24.7%, making $57.09mln.
Mediamax reports referring the financial and operating results of “VimpelCom” OJSC that the gains of “ArmenTel” from mobile connection in the first quarter increased as compared to the same period of 2008 by 29.9%, making $23.03mln, the gains from landline connection increased by 21.4%, making $34.06mln.
At that, as compared to the IV quarter, 2008, the net operating income and the income from landline connection of “ArmenTel” increased by respectively 2.8% and 7%, and the gains from mobile connection reduced by 2.8%.
Subscriber base of Beeline in Armenia reduced as compared to the first quarter of 2008 by 7.5%, making 481 thousands. At that, Beeline’s share in the market reduced in the accounting period by 29.4%, making 19%.
Beeline average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) in Armenia made $15.3 in the first quarter, having increased, as compared to the first quarter of 2008, by 22.2%.
