Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia, Azerbaijan and Moldova lead in Central-Eastern Europe as to the level of software piracy.
Mediamax reports that the data of a research, realized by international IDC Company, evidence the fact.
In Armenia, the level of software piracy makes 93%, and in Azerbaijan and Moldova – 92% each. The lowest level of piracy in this region is registered in the Czech Republic (39%), Hungary (42%) and Slovakia (45%).
On October 31, 2008, Vice-President of Microsoft in Central and Eastern Europe Vahe Torosyan stated in Yerevan that in the course of two years of Microsoft presence in Armenia the level of software piracy in the country reduced for about 5%, the fact allowing hoping that in the nearest two years it will reduce for 7-8% more.
