Yerevan /Mediamax/. Insufficient level of higher education, expensive and unreliable internet and problems in the sphere of tax and customs administration are the main obstacles on the way of securing competitiveness of Armenian IT production.
Chief Executive Officer of Synopsys Armenia Company Hovik Musaelyan said this in an interview to Mediamax agency.
According to him, Armenian higher educational institutions do not produce full-fledged IT specialists, and companies are forced to spend additional resource and time to independently train students.
“Another problem for the Armenian IT sector is still the unreliable and expensive internet”, Hovik Musaelyan stated.
Concerning tax and customs administration, as the Chief Executive Officer of Synopsys Armenia stated, the fiscal bodies “often are the ones to violate the legislation, and the companies are forced to defend their rights in court”.
