With the development of technologies, the demand for cloud services is growing all over the world, and Armenia is playing its part.
Since 2018, “Viva Armenia” has consistently provided cloud services in Armenia, offering diverse and innovative packages on the market. Viva is the first operator in Armenia to implement the ISO/IEC 27001 standards for information security management. Currently, ISO/IEC 27001/2022 requirements are implemented in the company.
“The biggest companies generating big data today are in the healthcare sector. Our platform is located on Viva’s cloud infrastructure, allowing us to provide high availability of data and services. In the past, it was common to store data exclusively in hospitals, but over time, cloud technologies have made it possible to store, as well as to expand this data safely in virtual spaces: the larger the data, the better the infrastructure supports access to it. What are the advantages of cloud technologies? The latest technologies are used to ensure double backup and to prevent data loss, which is critical for healthcare sector. Additionally, they meet international safety standards. The main goal of the «HiCare» digital platform is to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of medical services,” says Artur Ghulyan, CEO of «Care Technologies».
Viva’s infrastructure is new and built in accordance with all international standards. The backup power supply system is organized through 2-way separate substations, along with backup diesel generators and uninterruptible main and backup power supplies (UPS). This setup ensures an uninterrupted power supply around the clock. There are modern cooling and fire safety systems, as well as video surveillance and necessary infrastructure for protection against cyberattacks.
The number of organizations using Viva’s cloud services has been increasing every year. In 2020, the number of users of Viva’s cloud services increased by 18% due to the pandemic and the rapid advancement of technology. The highest growth rate (40%) was recorded in 2022, driven by the revival of the IT market, as many organizations moved to Armenia and/or opened branches in Armenia. Among the companies using Viva’s cloud services, 19% are in the IT sector, 37% are companies providing various services, and the remaining ones are those offering sales services.
In recent years, medical institutions are starting to make use of Viva’s cloud services, which reflects the advancement of digital technologies in healthcare.
