Hayk Yesayan announces he is “no longer involved in Ucom”

Itel.am has received a video message “Hayk Yesayan’s statement about the current situation”, in which he addresses the employees of Ucom.

In the video, Hayk Yesayan states that the shareholders of Ucom did not notify him officially about the appointment of the new Director General.

He also notes that Ara Khachatryan, appointed Director General by the major shareholders, has not met with the Ucom staff yet.

“I state officially that I am no longer involved in Ucom. I act consciously and I know what to do next. I am certain our team can create another Ucom, better and bigger. It will have a different name – Unet, as we wanted initially. However, the point is that we are united, and the situation Ucom is facing today has resulted from certain actions, which were done behind our backs,” Hayk Yesayan says in the video message.

He also states that he and his brother Alexander Yesayan are going to withdraw their application to the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, thus removing the obstacle to official registration of Ara Khachatryan as Director General of Ucom.
