Beeline Armenia and Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia launched a product bootcamp last year with the purpose to help young people with innovative ideas get into technological entrepreneurship and develop their own startups.
The 10 resident teams, selected from dozens of applicants, worked intensively with mentors (experts, business development and technical specialists) and received consultations about potential markets, users and possible features of their products.
In the end the teams perfected the first drafts and submitted them to the jury of top experts, who selected the best two teams.
“It is always great to see active, capable, talented young people who view issues not as problems but as opportunities and who suggest original solutions for making people’s lives better. As a responsible company, Beelines strives to support these young people with anything we can, and our joint program with the Microsoft Innovation Center is a great example of that support,” said Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.
One of the top two teams is Festival, which developed an app designed specifically for film festivals. Festival was awarded AMD 1.5 million. The team created full Android and iOS versions of the app and is now trying testing it at small-scale film festivals.
The other winner, Rendchain, was awarded AMD 1 million. The team developed a beta version of their product, which is designed to enhance the speed of production and quality of 3D objects by combining the capacities of currently available software.
