Armenia and Belgium to cooperate in high tech

IMEC scientific and research center and Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) will cooperate in exchange of experience, implementation of joint educational programs and organization of scientific and research works in sectors of high tech and innovation.

A memorandum of understanding on this was signed by Executive Vice President at IMEC
Ludo Deferm and Director of Enterprise Incubator Foundation Bagrat Yengibaryan, within the frames of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Belgium.

IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre) is an international R&D and innovation center, specialized in nano-electronics and digital technologies. The company is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. The center has around 2000 employees, and branches in the Netherlands, Taiwan, India, U.S., and Japan.

IMEC conducts research on devices of new generation, which may enter the market in the coming 10 years.
