Augmented reality and Armenian national costume meet in new app

Recently launched app Armenian National Costume allows users to get a picture of themselves in the chosen costume - taraz - through augmented reality (AR) technologies, and post it on social networks.

The app is available in AppStore and Google Play.

It was developed by The NAME Production. ARLOOPA dealt with technical details.



The NAME Production Art Manager Nrane Grigoryan told Itel.am that the app offered more than 40 options of the taraz. They cooperated with History Museum of Armenia for this project.  

“Our team is comprised of 6 women managers. We are very different, but we work together, as we love art and we want to see cultural life in our country become more active. With every project we try to unite Armenian traditions, customs, and the great cultural and national legacy with innovations, fashion and modern trends. Our app will attract women of all ages,” she noted.

Nrane Grigoryan informed that the app will acquire new functions soon.

Narine Daneghyan
