Ucom commented on Ruben Vardanyan’s interview on the launch of Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology-FAST with Itel.am request.
Talking about the Foundation, Ruben Vardanyan had particularly said.
“The focus should be on a kind of "broad coalition", which will unite educational institutions, leading IT-companies, professional associations of Armenia and network operators”.
Ucom mentioned that they are open for discussions to find ways of cooperation.
“Given that we attach great importance to educational projects in the IT industry, we are confident that together we can draw useful ideas and thoughts through discussions”, Ucom said in the interview with Itel.
“Our company attaches great importance to such initiatives in the IT sector, which provides practical support and direct response to the problem of the Armenian military operation. According to the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Union of IT Enterprises (UITE) and Ucom, we invest in order to open 70 Armath engineering laboratories in 9 marzes of Armenia.
The project aims to promote technological education in all schools of Armenia, promote students' interest towards high technologies, develop engineering mind from an early childhood and prepare clever youth. The lessons are free of charge for Armath students”, the company said.
Ucom mentioned that program packages as well as equipment drawings are open for public viewing.
“We are proud that computer programs and systems are being Armenianized as possible, since within the framework of project, purchasing equipment and software from local producers is priority: example of which are the high-quality three-dimensional (3D) printers, mini- computers, robotics kits and other devices made in Armenia”, Ucom mentioned.
