Ucom-sponsored DigiTec Expo to bring together 130 companies

11th annual DigiTec Expo will be held on October 2-4 this year.

130 companies and 40 thousand individuals are expected to take part in the Expo.

DigiTec 2015 platinum sponsor is Ucom; Union of IT Enterprises (UITE) is the organizer of DigiTec.

The 3-day technological event will also host leading companies from the U.S., China, Taiwan, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia and Iran.

“As a creator and protagonist of innovative approaches and new technological solutions, it’s not our company’s first time of sponsoring DigiTec Expo and such large-scale events”, said Ucom CEO Hayk Yesayan.

According to him, owing to such events, the society’s larger parts start involving in the IT field.
“As a fast developing company and user of modern technologies, Ucom supports all the events aimed at technological development of Armenia and DigiTec is one of them”, said the CEO.

Hayk Yesayan has added that during the Expo, the company will demonstrate a large number of technological innovations which will be available to subscribers already from 2016.

UITE Director Karen Vardanyan attached importance to this year’s Expo noting that there are Armenian companies among participants who made serious success in the international arena, such as PicsArt, Zangi, Joomag and Triada.

“The list of the participants also features a number of leading international companies such as Ericsson, Huawei, Keysight Technologies, Calix etc. We are sure DigiTec participation will encourage international companies to establish engineering subdivisions in Armenia, as it formerly happened to IBM, National Instruments and other companies”, stated Karen Vardanyan.

Simultaneously with the technological Expo, there will be DigiLife workshops, exhibition of the robots of the Open Robotics Championship of Armenia, Robotics Festival, Open Game exhibition, game hackathon, job fair etc. The chess robot created by an Armenian specialist will compete with Armenian grand masters.
