Early this year Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia had organized “MIC Acceleration” program in which seven local startups took part.
“MIC Acceleration” Demo Day will be held in April during which the teams will present to Armenian and foreign investors and entrepreneurs the results of the work they did over the past months.
Ahead of the Demo Day, MIC Armenia and Itel.am are sequentially introducing the development history of the seven startups.
Flaxton is a Cloud SaaS “smart” load balancer, designed for app owners to program the rerouting of app requests on cloud services.
Flaxton was developed by Tigran Bayburtsyan, Vahe Sargsyan and Vard Papikyan.
“We used to study together at Yerevan State University. I and Vahe have worked together within other projects. For the Acceleration program Vard joined us and we wanted to develop an easy to use tool for infrastructure maintenance and monitoring with single dashboard for all cloud providers”, Tigran Bayburtsyan said to Itel.am.
The target market of Flaxton is enterprises abroad, as the Armenian market is very limited.
“Flaxton has its specifics, which makes it unique in the market. We develop it in such a way that non-techy people will be able to use it”, noted Vard Papikyan.
MIC Acceleration program helped the startup make connections abroad. Various mentors helped the team sharing their knowledge in that field.
It should be noted that team has already presented their product in various events and meetings and have already managed to receive the grant of $20,000 from Enterprise Incubator Foundation, which will be spent on the development and PR and Marketing of the product abroad.
