Orange makes the summary of 2013

Orange Armenia has summarized the results of the technical works performed during the year 2013 aimed at further development of the network capacity and extension of the coverage.

During 2013 the company has continued to extend its network coverage throughout the whole territory of the country, including villages like Antaramut, Kachachkut in Lori region, Geghanush, Gomaran, Bnunis and Ditsmayri in Syunik region-, which previously have not been covered by any mobile operator. Now the inhabitants of these villages, which are home to 100-400 people, are able to benefit from a vast range of mobile and internet services offered by Orange.

During the year, along with network extension works, Orange Armenia has as well constantly increased the capacity of its network in Yerevan and all the regions, to maintain a high quality of services thanks to a significant increase of the network capacity: Berkanush, Dalar, Baghramyan in Ararat region, Zolakar, Astghadzor, Landjakhbyur in Gegharkunik region, Katnaghbyur, Akunk in Kotayk region, Vazashen, Aygehovit in Tavush region, Jrapi, Sarakap, Haykadzor in Shirak region and many other villages and towns benefitted from a network capacity and quality increase.

“In 2013, we did a lot of work on our network, as it is a key factor for the quality of our services. During 2013 we have continued to extend our coverage, improving further our network in already covered areas, as well as reaching new communities, some of which have never previously been covered by any mobile operator. We have as well extended our 42 Mbps coverage to new towns: now Etchmiadzin and Ararat and very soon Abovyan - are also equipped with the most modern 3G+ technologies, just as Yerevan, Gumri and Vanadzor. Overall, we now cover 97% of the population of Armenia, offering the best quality according to technical independent audits. We are not going to stop here and 2014 will again be a year of significant investments in coverage of new areas and increase of our network capacity”, noted Francis Gelibter, Orange Armenia CEO.
