First official amateur races of water motorcycles held in Armenia

Yerevan/Mediamax/. \"Adrenalin\" association of extreme sports supported by \"ArmenTel\" (Beeline trademark) and Nakoil (Matul trademark) organized first Armenian amateur contests of water motorcycles.

The races were held among water scooters in 2 classes - water motorcycles of up to 250 horsepower capacity and above - in the Sevan Lake on September 9, ArmenTel reports.

The event hosted over 20 racers who competed with each other in Olympic system on the water route of 1200 meters. The winners of the first Armenian official races of water motorcycles were- Davtyan Raffi in \"A\" class, Baghdasaryan Shavarsh and Avetisyan Vachik. And Gonchoyan Grisha, Sargsyan Garush and Hovakimyan Hakob who took the first, second and third places respectively, won in \"B\" class.

\"I am pleased to see that with the ArmenTel support more and more new extreme sports are held and gain in popularity. The guests of the contest revealed for themselves water motorcycles and aquabikes races which are a novelty for Armenia and we hope they will enhance young people\'s interest to water sports, active rest and increase in tourist attractiveness of the Sevan high-altitude lake\", noted ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko.

The holding of the event was also supported by Vitesse and Flash.
