VivaCell-MTS and UITE present robots to 5 schools

Yerevan/Mediamax/. VivaCell-MTS and Union of IT Enterprises (UITE) presented robots to 5 educational institutions.

Robots-constructors were presented to the Polytechnic College and Kvant, Mkhitar Sebastatsi educational complex, Ayb school and N131 school.

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian stated that the initiative aims to boost robot-building in the country. “We are concerned about the future and support promising programs for the sake of stable and developed future. Instigating interest toward the robot- building since childhood is a promising program”, he said.

UITE Executive Director Karen Vardanyan said that by forming groups of robot-building at schools within “ArmRobotics” open championship registers great success.

“Pupils started to get involved in robot-building more actively. Our efforts are meant for opening more groups of robot-building at schools within coming years. They are interesting instruments for revealing children’s abilities”, said Karen Vardanyan.

UITE representative Hrachyan Khachatryan said talking to Mediamax that robots of are made in the U.S. but they plan to prepare more detailed sets of domestic production which will be more affordable to schools.

“Robot constructors are meant for schoolchildren. Through electronics, mechanics and programming they contribute to developing engineering thinking. They are made of various details, engines, wheels and software module. After mastering it pupils will be able to develop their program”, he said.
