On December 31 and January 1, subscribers of Beeline mobile connection sent over 860 thousand SMS and made over 4.6mln calls

Yerevan/Mediamax/. On December 31, 2010, to January 1, 2011, subscribers of Beeline mobile connection sent over 860 thousand SMS messages and made over 4.6mln calls with the average duration of 1 min. 8 sec.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of the company today that in the same period the subscribers of Beeline landline connection network made about 4.9mln calls with the average duration of 2 min. 2 sec.

“All technical systems of Beeline in the entire territory of Armenia functioned stably both on the New Year night and during the following holidays. There were no failures registered in the work of landline and mobile connection networks of the company”, “ArmenTel” informed.

In the period from 12:00 on December 31, 2010, to 12:00 on January 1, 2011, subscribers of Beeline mobile internet used about 1 terabyte of information.

All on all, 32.8 terabyte of information was sent/received via the external data transfer channels of the company from 12:00 of December 31 to 12:00 of January 1, of which 3.52 terabyte – during the last two hours of 2010 and 3.09 terabyte during the first two hours of 2011.

“In the course of 2010, we consistently developed telecommunication infrastructures all over Armenia, which allowed us securing uninterrupted connection during the holidays”, General Director of “ArmenTel” CJSC Igor Klimko stated.
