Yerevan/Mediamax/. VivaCell-MTS received ISO 9001:2008 certification, an achievement attributed for the first time in the Armenia to a telecom operator.
The project of Quality Management System improvement in VivaCell-MTS in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standard requirements started in November 2009, Mediamax was told today at company’s press service.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification was received with regard to provisioning of mobile communication services and customer servicing. It aimed at improving service and customer’s quality requirements, enhancing customer’s satisfaction, as well as achieving continuous improvement of its performance-applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
The Quality Management Systems implemented at VivaCell-MTS comply with the following principles defined by the ISO 9000 family:

- System approach to Management
- Continuous Improvement
- Factual Approach to decision making
- Mutually beneficial supplier relationship.
In August 2010 the Swiss SGS Group (the Swiss global leader and innovator in inspection, verification, testing and certification services founded in 1878) implemented the ISO 9001:2008 Certification audit in VivaCell-MTS and as a result in November 2010 the Company was certified as ISO 9001:2008 Compliant.
The Certification was done within the scope of MTS Group Quality Management Certification Project.
