Yerevan /Mediamax/. MTS proceeds in Armenia increased by 12.5% in Armenia in the III quarter, 2009, and made 22bln AMD.
Mediamax reports referring the financial indices of MTS that the operating profit of VivaCell-MTS made $11.4mln in Armenia in the III quarter, having increased as compared to the II ($9.2mln) and to the I ($7.4mln) quarter. At the same time, the operating profit of VivaCell-MTS has reduces, as compared to the III quarter of 2008 ($15.6mln).
In the III quarter, 2009, VivaCell-MTS subscriber base in Armenia increased for 33 thousand subscribers and made 2mln 80 thousand people. As of the end of the III quarter, 2009, the share of MTS in the market as to subscriber base in Armenia preserved at the level of 81%.
