Orange announced it possesses the widest 3G+ network in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Orange Armenia mobile operator officially announced its entry to the Armenian market today.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today, President of France Telecom Group Didier Lombard stated that Orange will stake on innovations in Armenia. He reminded that France Telecom possesses many scientific-research centers, which annually patent up to 200 products.

Vice-President of France Telecom Olaf Swantee stated that Orange Armenia will pay special attention to development of broadband internet in Armenia. He stressed that Orange’s partnership with Apple, Nokia, Goggle and other brands will contribute to dealing with this task.

General Director of Orange Armenia Bruno Duthoit stated that today the company’s 2G and 3G+ network is already available for 83% of Armenia’s population and operates in 500 towns and villages of Armenia.

“Already today we can state that we have the widest 3G+ network in Armenia”, Bruno Duthoit stated.

13 Orange stores will open in Yerevan this week, and 25 stores, belonging to the operator, will function in the regions. 1.500 sales outlets will also operate.

Bruno Duthoit informed that as of November 4, users registered 70 thousand telephone numbers at www.orangearmenia.am website. The numbers may be activated within a month. To do that, one should visit any of Orange stores.
