Uriah Heep members did not expect that they enjoy such great popularity in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Members of Uriah Heep rock band did not expect to see that they enjoy such great popularity in Armenia.

Mediamax reports that, speaking late on Thursday at a news conference in Yerevan, the musicians stated that they were surprised by the warmth they were met with in Armenia.

“We also realized that our creative work enjoys great popularity in Armenia and, probably, we should thank the market of pirated production for this”, leader of the band Mick Box joked.

The musicians did not disclose the details of the concert, which is to take place today, noting that they will be performing both old hits and new songs.

Yerevan is included in the world tour of Uriah Heep to 48 cities. The tour is dated to the 40th anniversary of the band creation.

The concert will take place at 19:00 today in Yerevan Sport-Concert Complex (SCC) after Karen Demirchyan. The tickets costing 10-50 thousand AMD are available in SCC and Armenian Puppetry Theatre’s ticket offices. All the means from sale of tickets will be sent to reestablishing the housing stock in the zone of Spitak earthquake. 

The concert is organized by Vibrographus Company, “Shant” TV Company and “Arzni” Mineral Water Plant. BMI and Austrian Airlines, “Metropol” Hotel and “Baobab” restaurant are the partners of the concert.
