Website, meant to employ Armenian disabled people, presented

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Unison” public organization presented “Realize your right for employment” website at www.jobs.disability.am today.

As the Executive Director of “Unison” Armen Alaverdyan stated, the website is elaborated for assisting the disabled, who try to find jobs. He stressed that today only 8% of disabled people, capable of working, are provided with jobs in Armenia.

According to him, “Unison” Company closely cooperates with VivaCell-MTS Company, where disabled people already work. Armen Alaverdyan also informed that agreement is reached with France Telecom and iCON Communications Companies on possible employment of disabled people.

The visitors of www.jobs.disability.am website can get acquainted with practical advices for finding jobs, successful interview and CV making. Here one can also find information on specialized trainings for disabled people, labor benefits and encouragement mechanisms for employers, who hire disabled people.

The website was elaborated within the framework of “Creating Equal Opportunities” project, which has been in process of realization in Armenia since October, 2006, at the assistance of the Armenian branch of Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation (OSIAF) and the government of the Netherlands.
