Armenian President awarded winners of “Kangaroo-2009”

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsian awarded toward medal-winning graduates of Armenian comprehensive schools and the winners of the international “Kangaroo-2009” math competition.

Mediamax reports Serzh Sargsian stressing that education and intellect allow becoming good people and deserving citizens of one’s country.

“Your privilege is that you stand out by your best qualities and you can withstand the upcoming challenges”, Armenian President stated. At that Serzh Sargsian urged to remember that not always does “the end justify the means”.

The President awarded gold medals to 31 graduates of comprehensive schools and vouchers to the international summer camp in Romania to three winners of the international “Kangaroo-2009” math competition, organized by “Ayb” Educational Foundation.

Armenian President also handed certificates over to 11 participants of “Kangaroo” competition for best results in their marzes.

Answering the questions of schoolchildren, Serzh Sargsian stated that the issue of even development of Armenia’s regions is one of the most important tasks, which the leadership of the country faces.

He reminded that the Armenian government has elaborated a program for even development of regions and noted that after overcoming the consequences of the financial-economic crisis, the Cabinet of Ministers will make maximum effort to realize it.
