“ArmTech 2009” to be more efficient than the previous ones, Minister of Economy stated

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “ArmTech 2009” Congress will be held in American San Jose on November 5-8.

As the Director of Armenian Development Agency (ADA) Robert Harutyunyan stated in Yerevan today, participation of foreign and about 30 Armenian IT companies is expected at the Congress.

Minister of Economy of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan expressed confidence that the upcoming Congress will be more efficient than the previous two. “If at the previous congresses, representatives of private sector put forward their proposals, this time the Armenian government will make its suggestions and put forward initiatives for attracting investors to the Armenian IT sector”, the Minister noted.

General Executive Director of “Synopsys Armenia” Company Rich Goldman noted that “ArmTech 2009” will become a convenient opportunity for getting united within the framework of a single platform for the government, the educational system and the private sector to discuss the existing problems and ways to solve those.

“The global crisis makes “ArmTech” Congress more urgent than ever, since correct use of the opportunities of the IT sector will help come out of the crisis with benefit”, Rich Goldman stated.
