VivaCell-MTS supports external illumination of Koti village

VivaCell-MTS in partnership with the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) has supported the external illumination of Koti village streets of around 38km.

A whole district of 1600m under the rival’s regular shelling has been illuminated. 42 LED lights have been installed. In the framework of the Alternative Energy Project, an energy-saving and completely new street lighting infrastructure has been created in Koti.

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, FPWC Senior Engineer, Project Coordinator Martin Maralchyan, Noyemberyan Community Head Karen Abazyan, Barekamavan Head of Administration Jonik Mikayelyan, and community members participated in the launching ceremony.

“The illumination in a bordering village isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity for their safety, for providing strong support to the soldiers. We also pursue the goal of making sure that the village residents who live in harsh conditions feel that they are not alone. We try to pass that belief on. It seems that this is a simple attitude, but people become more confident owing to the attention they get. It is an honor to make improvements in the country, but it is necessary to work together for this purpose,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.
