Ucom created U!Pay virtual wallet with the support of Idram.
This service allows users not only to pay for Ucom fixed and mobile connection, but also make payments for utilities, credits, taxes, duties and traffic fines via smartphone, regardless of their location.
Ucom General Director Hayk Yesayan noted that the virtual wallet can be downloaded for free. The app will be available in a month, in Android and iOS versions.
“With U!Pay virtual wallet we help our subscribers make payments of any kind in a convenient and quiet way, avoid queues and save their time – all of this in any corner of the world with Internet access,” said Ucom General Director Hayk Yesayan.
While presenting the wallet, he observed that subscribers will need to register in U!Pay once in order to enter the system, and refill the wallet in any of the suggested ways to make payments.
You can add up to 10 ArCa, MASTERCARD and VISA cards from Armenian banks to U!Pay account and refill the balance automatically, or make payments by choosing one of the added cards as a payment method. The data of the added bank cards will be saved in ArCa, which has the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
Hayk Yesayan stressed that corresponding services such as payment transfer from one card to another might take certain commission, but no commission will be charged for direct payments. You can keep no more than AMD 1 mln in the wallet.
“Before you make the payment, the app will ask you to choose the method. The user decides whether to pay via a card or U!Pay virtual wallet,” added Ucom Commercial Director Aram Barseghyan.
The user will need to choose a Pin code or fingerprint identification for security purposes during the payment.
