It is already the third year of operation of Armenak and Ann Tadevossian’s child day care and rehabilitation center in Kosh community of Aragatsotn region founded with VivaCell-MTS support and fully equipped with necessary medical devices.
In the last two years, VivaCell-MTS has supported the organization of treatment programs for 20 children with limited mental and physical abilities from disadvantaged families that attend the center.
“Good deeds help get closer to the ultimate common objective of all humans: better life for everyone. Can there be more important feeling for parents than to see their children healthy and happy? Helping them realize this dream will make the world a little bit human. By engaging in this project we derive from the very principle that caring for children that deviate from their peers in their development should not be left to their parents alone. All that we are required to do is to act in a way as to help these extremely dedicated and loving parents in their daily striving for attaining progress in their children’s development. Giving these strong moms and daddies, who live up their way of hope and despair, chances for parental happiness, is worth the effort,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.
The transfer of the children from their houses to the rehabilitation center and back is organized in vehicles adapted for children with special needs. Here children receive rehabilitation services, nutritious meals twice a day and enjoy their leisure under the care of specialists. The day care stationary works from 09:00 till 18:00 five days a week.
Besides receiving rehabilitation and specialized care, the children participate in group games and enjoy their leisure in specially refurbished bedrooms. The program benefits to the development of children’s mental abilities, rehabilitation of their physical abilities, integration into the society and acquisition of self-care skills.
Armenak and Ann Tadevossian’s child day care and rehabilitation center provides services to children with limited abilities not only from Aragatsotn region but also from other cities of Armenia (in particular, from Yerevan and Gyumri) who have been left out of secondary school or preschool education programs because of healthcare needs.
2013 through 2015 VivaCell-MTS has allocated over AMD 43 million to the Child day care and rehabilitation center.
