The 8th “Return” Classical Music Festival, held owing to the support of VivaCell-MTS, has become a unique cultural event for the Armenian audience and the foreign guests of the capital.
The festival is aimed at promoting classical music as well as uniting our compatriots, which live and work abroad, putting to use their creative potential and talent for the development of our country and the Armenian culture. The closing concert of the festival on November 7th symbolized continuity of life and an optimistic view of the future.
The opening of the 8th “Return” Festival took place on October 19, 2015. The program of the festival featured five concerts and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of VivaCell-MTS’ successful operation, the company issued a limited number of medals, which are awarded to individuals, who have made considerable contribution in the creation of public good. Appreciating the efforts of the “Return” Classical Music Festival towards uniting musicians of different nationalities, performing art schools and directions around the Armenian performing art school, and highly estimating the role of the festival in the creation of a dialogue between different cultures as well as providing a platform for work and exchange of experience, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian awarded “Ten Years of Friendship” medal to the president of the “Gallery of Arts” Foundation Mariam Shahinyan and its Director Garik Nazaryan.
“Good deeds completed for the benefit of the society should be encouraged. This is the belief of VivaCell-MTS. From the outset Armenia’s leading telecommunications operator has been standing by the society in helping with introducing change in different spheres of the society through implementing programs systemically with an aim to lay ground for sustainable development. In doing this, the Company has not been alone. Throughout years, distinctive individuals and organizations sharing the same values as VivaCell-MTS have proven their commitment to making positive change in their respective field of activity. In the name of VivaCell-MTS I would like to express deep gratitude to Mariam Shahinyan and Garik Nazaryan for years of consistent, dedicated and prolific work,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.
In the frames of the “Return” Classical Music Festival a new musical brand has been formed - the “Return” Festival Quintet”, which will have an opportunity to perform not only in Armenia, but also on foreign stages.
