VivaCell-MTS is the general partner of “Armagroforum”

Since 2011, every year, on the 3rd Sunday of October, the RA Ministry of Agriculture celebrates the Agriculture Worker's Day, in the frames of which the “Armagroforum” conference and “ArmProdExpo” exhibition of agricultural products and food is being organized.

The general partner of “Armagroforum” is VivaCell-MTS.

The conference is aimed at discussing perspectives of enhancing agriculture, agro-processing, and foreign trade, highlighting current issues in the sphere of agriculture, exploring investment opportunities, integrating innovative international methods in fostering agriculture, and supporting farming enterprises.

The conference program also features the traditional celebration of agricultural worker’s day in Armenia. The events are attended by special guests, representatives of international organizations, farmers, and manufacturers.

Agriculture is one of the major directions in the economic development of the country. Special attention must be paid to ensuring food security. And one cannot overestimate the importance of supporting the villagers in overcoming the challenges they face.

“It is the farmers who feed the country. However, they cannot cope with all the problems which stand in the way of getting expected results. The villagers need our support. VivaCell-MTS undertook the support of this sphere years ago, in particular, by installing anti-hail systems for preventing the threat of the loss of crops. We greet the participants of this important conference and wish them luck in their professional activities,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

VivaCell-MTS has allocated about AMD 10 million for organizing the “Armagroforum”. Agriculture has always been in the center of attention of the Company: in the period between 2009 and 2012 twenty-three anti-hail systems were installed in Armavir region owing to financial support by VivaCell-MTS.
